Bungou Stray Dogs Gets Live Action Film Adaptation

The latest perfomance of Bungou Stray Dogs franchise stage play, Bungou Stray Dogs: Sansha Teiritsu was a huge successful. They also revealed the live action film adaptation based on stage plays. During the final perfomance, the staff also announced that they are adapting Kafka Asagiri and Sango Harukawa's popular detective manga into a feature-length live action film.

The staff will announce details about cast, producer, release data and other information in the future. They are promise to make more announcement about the film as soon as possible.


The third stage play ran at Iwate, Fukuoka, Aichi and Osaka in June, and at Tokyo in July. Norihito Nakayashiki directed the play, and ChÅ«ji Mikasano wrote the script.

The second stage play, Bungou Stray Dogs: Kuro no Jidai, ran at the Tokyo's Sunshine Gekijou from September to October 2018, and Osaka's Morinomiya Piloti Hall in October.

The first was run at the Yokohama's KAAT Kanagawa Arts Theatre in December 2017, Osaka's Morinomiya Piloti Hall in January 2018, and Tokyo's AiiA 2.5 Thetare from January to February 2018.

The film will be adapting the stage plays, and the cast from stage play have possibility to return their roles in film adaptation.
